The 3rd generation MINI droptop has just arrived in dealerships. Updates include…

The new roof mechanism can be opened and closed by the remote key fob when the car’s parked, or at up to km/h via the toggle switch inside the car.

Powering the Cooper S is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine that generates a maximum power of 141kW and peak torque of 280Nm driving through a six-speed manual gearbox, giving the car a 0-100km/h time of 7.2 seconds. Combined fuel consumption is 6.2 l/100km with CO2 emissions of 143 g/km (5.8 l/100km and 135 g/km when combined with a six-speed sports automatic transmission).

You can still go nuts with three different interior themes and various stripes and other exterior accoutrements to personalise your MINI to your hearts content.
