New Commodore wagon needs a kick up the bum
Holden has just released some details on the new Commodore Sportwagon, to hit your dealer’s floor in 2018. The model designation is NG (Next Generation) to match the previously previewed sedan and will be first seen in the metal at the Geneva motor show in March.
Headline details:-
1640 litres of load space (down from 2000 litres of the current Commodore);
4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines with FWD;
top-spec 2.8-litre V6 AWD with 230kW and 379Nm / 9-speed auto;
Up to 200 kgs lighter than current Commodore Sportwagon;

To open the back of the new wagon you can kick under the car to actuate the tailgate. A silhouette of the vehicle is projected onto the ground beneath the car to give you somewhere to aim your kick. Another kick will close the tailgate meaning you never need leave greasy paw prints on your paintwork again. Happy days!
More details, pricing and a full video review will be available on CarNut.kiwi closer to the NG Commodore’s launch in 2018.
