‘Sculptural Artistry Meets German Precision’ – what??? It’s a Commodore.
Here it its folks. This is the next generation of the tried and tested SS Commodore recipe.
This time the car will be called the VXR and it’s going to feature the following basic spec:-
3.6-litre V6 outputting 235kW / 318Nm;
9-speed auto with paddles;
Adaptive all-wheel-drive with torque vectoring;
3 selectable drive modes to adjust steering, transmission and the AWD system;
Brembos up front;
20-inch wheels;
360-degree camera;
Autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian protection.

It’ll launch alongside the other Opel Insignia-dores in early 2018 and, like the rest of the range, (as well as the recently launched Astra) has been fettled for Kiwis and Aussies by Holden Australia engineers during 100,000kms of driving both in Europe and at the Lang Lang proving ground.
Oh, and the headline?? That’s how the cars exterior styling is described in the press release.
